This is an Admirality type model, plank on frames, scale 1:96, and was commissioned by a private collector. I started from a very good set of Harold Underhill plans. Rigging detail was developed from Lever’s and Steel., most of the framing was built from box wood. I planked the hull only above the water line with pear, the deck was laid in maple. The ship is fully rigged with no sails. For rigging lines I had to make custom thread using a rope making machine. All blocks were made functional with a sheave inside. I spend more than 3000 hours of intensive labour.
